Natural Ways to Boost the Testosterone During Your Workouts

If you’re looking to build muscle effectively, one thing you really want to be sure you’re doing is trying to boost the testosterone level in the body as much as possible so that you can build muscle quicker. Testosterone is one of the hormones in the body that is going to have the biggest impact on your muscle building success, so when it’s higher, you’ll naturally get better results.

Lift Heavier

The first thing that will help you boost up your testosterone level is to lift heavier weights. If you’re currently working in the rep range of 10-12 reps, while you may feel a good ‘pump’ after your workout, you will not be getting an optimal testosterone release to help you gain weight.

Instead, lower the rep range closer to 6-8 reps. That will work much more effectively with the major lifts you perform in your muscle building workout.

Eat More Saturated Fat

Next, look to your diet. Are you avoiding all forms of saturated fat? If so, you may want to consider adding them back in. Some saturated fat in the diet does tend to boost testosterone levels, so don’t eliminate it completely. Even just a small amount can have a huge influence on your testosterone levels.

Eggs are one good sources since they will also supply high quality protein as well. One or two eggs per day is now seen as a healthy addition to most diets, so make the most of this.

Reduce Your Rest Periods Slightly

Lastly, you’ll want not reduce your rest periods between lifts.

While you definitely don’t want to bring the rest periods so short that you cannot effectively lift heavy, reducing them slightly so that you’re experiencing a greater testosterone release will really help you into the future.
